A perfect workshop, intended for people of any age who are travelling in Israel in a group and who want to learn how to take photographs that tell a story rather than just record a visit.

Taking photos at the workshop: Israel through the lens of the Camera
No photography experience needed
Capturing the depth of the society
Any camera will do...
Harel gives unique photography workshops that allow the participants to experience and learn ethnographic photography and introduces students to new and creative experiments with their camera. The workshop consists of one full day of instruction and field work followed by a half day (or evening) of discussion and constructive criticism.
Consciously taking photos pushes the participant to explore Israel and Israelis through different eyes and break free from the bubble of being a "tourist", to lose the stranger's identity and merge with the Israeli street.
This is a unique opportunity to get “live” feedback from a professional photographer, and to show the “scene” through his eyes. The camera lens allows a broader view and the possibility of observing people and places from different, multiple angles. Harel often gives small assignments to help his students connect to their subjects in a different way.
Individually tailored workshops are also available, adjusted to the needs of the group, their level of photography skills and the demands of the location we work in.
